New functions in LipidXplorer v. 1.2.2

  • Improvment in speed: The function for identification of lipids with fragments is upgraded and now about a manifold faster.
  • Improved speed for MS/MS isotopic correction algorithm: The algorithm was re-written and is now much faster.
  • New spectra conversion tool: LipidXplorer incorporated 'msconvert' for spectra conversion. Thus, LipidXplorer supports all features of msconvert which is the leading tool for spectra conversion right now. The 'old' ReAdW can still be used. Msconvert can be selected in the 'Import Source' panel at the drop down menu. Every entry with a 'mc.' preposition uses the msconvert instead of readw. It is recommended to keep msconvert up-to-date by copying a current version into the folder bin/msconvert from time to time. The web-source is: http://proteowizard.sourceforge.net/downloads.shtml .
  • Output for statistical examination: The dump can be output in a format which is suitable for databases. This makes it usable from statistical software like 'R', Excel or something similar. It can be switched on in the "Options" Menu under the point "Output options" and the dump will be output in the new format.
  • The rest of the new features are bug fixes.
